Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative and shaped by my clients’ needs. My style is active and collaborative. I incorporate evidence-based interventions to match the goals of individuals, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) compassion-focused therapy (CFT), mindfulness, relaxation, guided imagery and the empowerment of scientific knowledge. In my work with clients dealing with parenting challenges, I collaborate by providing effective strategies for dealing with anxiety, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and learning differences. Together with my clients, I re-evaluate therapeutic approaches over the course of psychotherapy to best reach their goals.

It is important to find a therapist who not only has the expertise required but who will
provide a sense of safety and synergy. This is the reason I provide an initial free consultation. If I believe a practice other than mine would be a better match, I do my best to provide recommendations and referrals.
